Kuksa is a drinking cup carved out of birch burl, thereby each cup has its own, unique wood pattern. They are traditionally made by the Sámi people of Northern Scandinavia. Called Guksi in Sámi language, they are known as Kuksa or Kåsa in Finnish, respectively Swedish.

A Kuksa is not only unique and looks beautifully, but also practical and multifunctional. Besides for drinking, you can also use it for eating or for example to collect berries.

A Kuksa is the perfect, reliable and long-lasting companion on your camping and outdoor trips, but you will also want to have it along on your travels or just at home. It is a beautiful, meaningful and unique gift for family and close friends.

Our Kuksas are handmade in northern Finland and beautiful pieces of traditional handcraft. A pure natural product, a Kuksa is:

  • Practical
  • Multifunctional
  • Sustainable

Cleaning instructions: rinse your Kuksa with clean water (or a few drops of dishwashing liquid) and dry it with a clean cloth after use. Attention: do not clean it in a dishwasher!

Maintenance instructions: Since a Kuksa is a natural wood product, it requires a bit of Tender Loving Care (TLC) from time to time to maintain its beauty 🙂

To do this, proceed as follows: add a few drops of linseed oil (provided in our delivery package) on the Kuksa and disperse it with a soft cloth all over the cup. Let the wood absorb the oil for an hour or so and wipe off any excess oil. There will still be a faint smell of linseed oil at the beginning, but it will disappear after a short while.
